Boat Ownership

Does anyone own a boat?
I've got a real hankering for one and haven't even begun to look into it so there is always a WHO subject matter expert around.
Couple of points, would want to use it at sea, moor it permanently in the harbour here and not cost me a fortune. Also no sailing experience.

His only sailing experience saw him lost at sea for 40 days and nights and ended up grounding the vessel on top of a mountain

I have owned 3 boats and never again unless you have a endless supply of dosh. Its great while they work but water and mechanics do not go together. Your better off hiring for the weekend, its much cheaper.

Given that I am only a couple blocks from the sea at my new place I too fancy a boat. Fuck sailing though I want to catch big fish and cruise around the coast of New England will be getting something with motors.
Am going away for work for a week but might buy this boat for cheap when I am back.

Would like something similar but a bit bigger but that isn't too small not sure if I should save up and spend more for a bigger boat next year.

I know someone who's got a boat, they were down at Felixstowe waxing the hull when it was bloody freezing, more upkeep than you think to owning a boat.

Thanks NS , will only be going round bay etc near Sanibel , fort Myers won't be trying a trip over to Texas or Mexico
